I'm not confident about the OEM mount so bought a RamMount, short arm and U bolt fitting, clamped on to fairing bracket.
Unit can sit in front of speedo or forwards at edge of screen. FM transmitter links to MP3/radio in my pocket to allow directions and music to be listened to on the move.
