Putting a 278 into a 276C body

Anybody tried this? I have gone to quite a lot of trouble to keep the screen on my 276C scratch free and at some point in the future to upgrade to a 278. However most 2nd hand 278s seem to have scratched screens so I wondered about the possibility of putting the 278 components into the 276C case.

Anyone done this?
