Scala Team Set
The Scala Teamset is relatively cost effectinve way of having an rider to passenger wireless intercom mounted on helmets.
The box contains two apparently identical headset units, one yellow and one green. The green headset is however, far more limited in functional terms than the yellow one. The yellow unit is effectively a Scala Rider FM without the radio component, and so can be used with a GPS, telephone or other bluetooth device. The green unit is intended only as a intercom to talk to the yellow 'rider' unit.
The two units are automatically paired out of the box, although if you wish to pair two other teamset units (i.e. the green to another yellow and vice-versa) this is also possible.
This unit does not work as a bike to bike intercom as the max range of the intercom is only about 10 metres and so is intended more as a rider/passenger communication device.
For bike to bike intercom Scala's new Q2 system is better suited.
There are currently some good deals to be had on the Scala Teamset so don't overlook this if you are thinking about an intercom for rider to passenger, it's also worth bearing in mind that the mounts for all the Scala devices (Rider FM, Team Set and Q2) are interoperable so if you later decide to upgrade to a Q2 that's an easy option.
