Default Autocom

I recently bought a 550 and it works through my Autocom Super Pro AVI Communication unit, I have Rider to pillion communication, Bike to Bike communication with my fiance and use my Ipod for music so I dont waste the memory. The Autocom unit lowers the volume of the music by 50% when communicating B to B and when the Garmin is announcing directions. Great system.

P.S Hello everyone I am new to site. Martin.

Hi there,

Sounds like a good solution, was it difficult to install?

Pics?

Welcome to the site.

I took my bike over to Autocom who are based in Warwick and they installed it for me, cost £90 to install but they took care of the Helmet,Bike & Sat Nav.

I've just bought a Zumo 550, and yesterday mounted it on the bike (VFR800). To connect to the Autocom Superpro Avi, I conected the 3.5mm jack lead to aux2 and all was fine. Then I paired my phone to the Zumo, could hear caller but they couldn't hear me. I then pluged the 2.5mm jack into the Zumo and the other end into aux1 and then they could hear me.
I bought a noise filter unit but it dosen't seem to need it. Will see what happens when I go out for a ride. The power for the Zumo and the Autocom are both taken from the rear light power.

Im using a 2gig SD card for music. As my mp3 player was only 512meg I still have tons of space for more tunes.

Hey, Jambo, have you lived in Kenya?? (Jambo swahili for Hallo)

I must admit, the autocom does sound like it's pretty good, the scala that I have can also be used as intercom and telelphone etc, but normally the wired connections from systems such as Autocom are better quality.

Enjoy the Autocom and keep me posted on the Zumo, I'd be interested to hear what you think/learn about it.

All the Best,

David

OK, went for a test ride yesterday, music was great, then I tried the phone. The problem was that the Zumo mutes the music, but when I spoke on the phone, the Autocom automaticaly reduced the volume from the Zumo, so I couldn't hear the caller. I then pluged the Zumo lead into Aux 4 (non muting) and then it was fine.

This means that if I'm with a passenger, the music won't mute when we talk, but she doesn't like my music anyway so I wont be playing it.

Could you be more specific to the remedy you used that allowed the person you were calling to hear you? I have the same setup; Zumo 550 & Super Pro AVi. I hooked up the Bluetooth 2371 cable to the Aux 1 and the 1374 cable fro audio out at Zumo cradle to Aux 2 as my dealer recommended. They said that 2371 needs to connect to Aux 1 (4 prong only-as it powers bluetooth) I can hear the person I call, but they can't hear me. I can hear my own audio feedback in helmet, no weird static, It's just that the person on the other end can't hear me. I really want to get this working, thanks,
