Hi Stelios,

I'm not sure that it will work as the installer for the application is written for windows OS.

I'd be interested to hear how you might do it but I'd be surprised if you can make it work.

Keep me posted

David

just for the record if anyone is watching this topic

project failed

after serveral tests, couldn't find any way to run mapsource under linux
i have read another way to do it -by emulating windows under linux- but that was not what i was looking for (so i didn't test it)

Hi Stelios,

I have recently been looking at a way to run iTunes on Ubuntu and I found this application which is called WINE which allows windows env to be run on top of various linux platforms to get some kind of compatibilty.

Did you try this when you wanted to run MapSource on Linux?

David

Hmm,

I'll probably also try this over the coming weeks, (after a stack of other tasks )

I'll let you know if I have any more success!

All the Best,

David
