Default Problems installing old versions of MapSource Products on Windows Vista

The install anywhere installer for some of the older versions of Garmin products does not support windows vista, this is annoying if you have upgrade products which first require an old version to be installed, if you have this problem, here is an example of how to resolve it:

Installing and running MetroGuide V5 USA on Windows Vista

I received a scripting error when trying to install MetroGuide USA version 5 on my Windows Vista PC. I believe this has to do with older versions of install anywhere not being compatible with Windows Vista.

I was still able to install the application but I need to set the XP compatibility and to run as Administrator on the following files from the CD:

data.exe
demo32.exe
setup.exe

To do this, simply select the files individually, then right click -> properties -> Compatibility -> Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
Privilege Level: Run this program as administrator
