Traffic updates - On-Route

An additional feature of On-Route is to show current traffic hotspots on the map by connecting to a 3rd party traffic information provider over the internet and loading the data into the on-route interface.

It would seem however, that this service is not as reliable as it might be, therefore when connecting to the service via the traffic button in on-route, you may see a connection error such as the following:





Sometimes this problem can come about as a result of a firewall setting, in which case please check that the on-route application (tcmain.exe) has permission to connect to the internet, otherwise the problem is more than likely caused by the service being unavailable, in which case, simply retry at another time.
