Default On-Route Positioning

How does On-Route compare to existing products like AutoRoute and Garmin MapSource?

There are some other good mapping products out there and many are well established so why would you need On-Route?

On-Route is for those who plan specifically detailed motorcycle trips and are left wanting by the lack of specific motorcycle trip features in these products.

No other map or routing product out there can currently favour routes that will be interesting to motorcyclists in the way that On-Route can. The only more comprehensive and assured way to do this is to pool a lot of local knowledge about roads and stops from someone who knows the area/s or use a site like BestBikingRoads.com to plan the roads and join them up, both of these methods would though take you a considerable amount of time and won't provide an exhaistive list of options, that's where On-Route gets useful.

For day trips or long rides, On-Routes such as specific user settings, POI databases and an excursion wizard to help you make the most out of your next bike trip.
