Out of the box features?

I am interested in knowing what capability to make custom routes exist with the TomTom rider 2 (i.e. what software is packaged with it) and what map coverage comes with it? (Is it Europe or only UK?)

Others will answer this better than I, because I just got my TTR2, but...
European maps are an option for an additional price - make sure you buy the one you want! WE or UK.
Custom route planning (Itineraries) seems relatively straightforward. But I think that downloading pre-prepared routes is easier with Garmin as more folks seem to use that file format. But converting them doesn't seem difficult.
One thing - if you don't have conventional bars you may find it is not straightforward to mount it. I struggled with a Ducati ST. Check it out first.
