Default Quest is still great

Hi there bikerclausi,

No need to hurry, the Quest is still really good unit and the tracking capability on it is still better than the Zumo (as is the quality of the screen in direct sunlight)

Have you seen this new audio bluetooth gadget which would allow you to have a voice instructions via bluetooth to a wireless headset?

NB
and will def keep and care for the Quest as it still does all what I want fm it...
only prblm is the limited storage space on it and that yu hve to know well in advance when/ where you ride abroad, and which charts exactly yu need.

Speaking of firmware updates. Garmin needs to talk to some veteran riders and get a better handle on how to setup a GPS that is "designed" specifically for motorcyclist. This little subject has become a pet peeve with me so bare with me. Why does a person out enjoying a ride on his/her bike or on a trip need to always know where the airports are. Take those damn airport icons off and design a tool that would allow us, the rider, decide what icon we want to show on the display. If I'm traveling down the interstate then I might select rest stops (nature calls) and truck stops (fuel), but I certainly do not need to know where the nearest airport is. Again in setup, have a tool where we can pick our primary roads - Interstate, Primary Highways or Secondary Highways (my preference because you see more of the what the area is really like) and even include county blacktops. And . . . when you select your preferred roads then have auto-route plan your route accordingly. Make it easier to setup proximity alarms for the waypoints you download. It would also be nice if Garmin included or at least had a site on their web site where you could download waypoints like National Parks, National Monuments and other POI's for the various countries so the owner doesn't have to spend hours learning how to download them into the Zumo. . . Ok my blood pressure is starting to shoot up so I'm going to quit now and have a shot of scotch!!!!!
